EASTER PAIR STAR IN PRELUDES
Inglis graduates are set to extend their recent Blue Diamond dominance, following the ultra impressive wins by Easter babies Psychologist and Beneteau in the Group 3 Preludes at Caulfield today.
Graduates from each of Inglis' major yearling sales - Easter, Premier and Classic - have won seven of the past 10 Blue Diamonds, with $190,000 Premier youngster Reward For Effort the most recent.
PSYCHOLOGIST ($120,000 2009 Easter II, 2f Choisir-Miss Conception) further highlighted the growing success story of the fledgling Easter Part II sale when scoring a dominant debut win in the G3 Fillies Prelude.
Prepared for sale by Bylong Park, the Tony Vasil trained filly was immediately promoted to the second line of betting for the February 20 Blue Diamond Stakes.
BENETEAU ($1million 2009 Easter, 2c Redoute’s Choice-Slice Of Paradise) then announced himself as the new Diamond favourite when coming from off the speed and unwinding a powerful finish in the G3 Colts & Geldings Prelude.
The Paul Messara trained colt was sold through the Arrowfield Stud draft and snapped up by Blue Sky Thoroughbreds. His pedigree oozes Blue Diamond, being by the 1999 winner Redoute's Choice from a full-sister to 2004 victor Alinghi and he is now one of the hottest stallion prospects in the country.
